Prabowo-Sandi Promises Debt Infrastructure Development

Suara Id. Presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 02, Prabowo-Sandi promised infrastructure development if he was trusted to be the leader of this country in April. But it is not just continuing the infrastructure built in the incumbent government. Vice Chancellor Sandi said that the development scheme in infrastructure that was initiated had to be directly affected by people's welfare.

"Prabowo-Sandi will remain focused on building infrastructure. We will not reduce our commitment, we will increase it, but infrastructure that is more touching to agricultural and rural infrastructure, "said Sandi in the discussion 'Towards a Fair and Prosperous Indonesian Economy' in Prabowo-Sandi Media Center, Jalan Sriwijaya I No 35, Jakarta South, Wednesday (1/9).

"So it is not only infrastructure that is in urban areas, in the main routes, we also prioritize rural infrastructure so that the economic impact is directly felt by the community," he continued.

Prabowo-Sandi will also involve the private sector in the construction of infrastructure projects. This is done to reduce the debt burden in the state budget that has been borne by SOEs.

"I want to involve more, 9 to 10 percent of the economy is driven by the government, 90 percent are entrepreneurs," Sandi said.

Government and private partnerships can be the main options in building infrastructure. But unfortunately, continued Sandi, this choice was marginalized in the current era of government.

"Cipali's development is without state debt or government debt. Alhamdulillah it is already running and now it can be tried. This will prioritize Prabowo-Sandi, we will increase infrastructure development, "said Sandiaga Uno.

The former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta again shared the success of building the Cipali Toll Road and would make it a development role model carried out by the private sector without burdening the country.
